There are several different types of card spreads. You can experiment with these spreads, or you can make up your own. Remember that the type of information you wish to divine can be revealed not only in the turn of the cards, but in their position relative to other cards in a spread. Experiment with the spreads, and determine which ones best suit the information sought. And by all means, have fun with it...
