La Templanza: This image uses the archangel Michael and the water mixed with blood (signifying the life force) flowing between the two cups imagery, representing the mixing of the seemingly contradictory elements of spirit above and matter below. This angel is less "angelic" though and more dangerous, tough, and modern-looking.
